Hello, my friends

I'm back on the spot.....It has been a busy couple of weeks. Joel and I went to Idaho for the weekend just because he wanted to go down and see how it would feel to have the visa bill come back at .98 instead of 1.25. Having the Canadian dollar worth more is awesome but the border was full both ways. We saw trailers going down empty and pickup trucks loaded to the brim on the way back. We laughed at the border because it looked like a Costco parking lot. Boats, ski-doos, (still wrapped up from the store) were all over the parking lot. People are going crazy. Canadians are putting the pressure on the retailers to lower the price; our dollar is worth more we shouldn't be paying more. It is working, slowly but surely. Now if we could just get Pottery Barn to lower their prices it would be a lovely world to live in.

Diet update: Well it has been a few hard weeks. Going to Idaho was a killer. Joel and I think we need treats in the car and I have to tell you that the mint 3 muskateer bars are to die for. I also pulled a muscle in my calf from running on the treadmill so that has hurt the exercise bit but I still play racquetball thru the pain. So in the short run I gained back 2 pounds then refused to weigh in after Idaho and then I lost 6 pounds on yesterday's weigh in. I don't know who was more shocked the weigher or me. So I am feeling great about the diet today. I did play 4 hours of racquetball on Monday. In the morning with my regular group and then we went at night with the Brownlee's. Caroline and I are still on the winning track, keep trying boys and maybe practice.

I got a raise yesterday from my job..... YES YES YES I have worked a year and guess I have learned enough that I got a raise. That is just great.

I bought my first new outfits for the new babies. We know they are boys and I would have bought them on the day that I found out but I had to work that day so it was the next day and they will look really cute with the new blankets that I am crocheting. I found the cutest material at Porters when I was in Idaho. Brooke and I had a blast shopping at both Porters but it did kind of take up our day but boy was it was fun. We saw Jody there and that was so fun. You just never know who you will run into.

My Christmas tree is up. Not fully decorated. My banister has the garland on it. the decorations are out. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. It snowed last night and it is absolutely spectacular. It is so beautiful. I can't wait to go look for a new coat. I love coats.

Brooke and Josh and Eve are coming up for Thanksgiving. I am so excited. Brooke and Eve and I are having our makeup done at the MAC counter and maybe getting pedicures and definitely shopping. No I am not cooking a turkey and we are not celebrating American Thanksgiving so feel sorry for them when they get home. We have already had our Thanksgiving and I have more fun things to do than cook. Josh and Joel are going to go skiing. Yes the ski hills are open. We just got our first snow but it must be snowing in the mountains.

Racquetball is calling. Till next time. Love ya all
