Hello, my friends

I'm back on the spot.....It has been a busy couple of weeks. Joel and I went to Idaho for the weekend just because he wanted to go down and see how it would feel to have the visa bill come back at .98 instead of 1.25. Having the Canadian dollar worth more is awesome but the border was full both ways. We saw trailers going down empty and pickup trucks loaded to the brim on the way back. We laughed at the border because it looked like a Costco parking lot. Boats, ski-doos, (still wrapped up from the store) were all over the parking lot. People are going crazy. Canadians are putting the pressure on the retailers to lower the price; our dollar is worth more we shouldn't be paying more. It is working, slowly but surely. Now if we could just get Pottery Barn to lower their prices it would be a lovely world to live in.

Diet update: Well it has been a few hard weeks. Going to Idaho was a killer. Joel and I think we need treats in the car and I have to tell you that the mint 3 muskateer bars are to die for. I also pulled a muscle in my calf from running on the treadmill so that has hurt the exercise bit but I still play racquetball thru the pain. So in the short run I gained back 2 pounds then refused to weigh in after Idaho and then I lost 6 pounds on yesterday's weigh in. I don't know who was more shocked the weigher or me. So I am feeling great about the diet today. I did play 4 hours of racquetball on Monday. In the morning with my regular group and then we went at night with the Brownlee's. Caroline and I are still on the winning track, keep trying boys and maybe practice.

I got a raise yesterday from my job..... YES YES YES I have worked a year and guess I have learned enough that I got a raise. That is just great.

I bought my first new outfits for the new babies. We know they are boys and I would have bought them on the day that I found out but I had to work that day so it was the next day and they will look really cute with the new blankets that I am crocheting. I found the cutest material at Porters when I was in Idaho. Brooke and I had a blast shopping at both Porters but it did kind of take up our day but boy was it was fun. We saw Jody there and that was so fun. You just never know who you will run into.

My Christmas tree is up. Not fully decorated. My banister has the garland on it. the decorations are out. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. It snowed last night and it is absolutely spectacular. It is so beautiful. I can't wait to go look for a new coat. I love coats.

Brooke and Josh and Eve are coming up for Thanksgiving. I am so excited. Brooke and Eve and I are having our makeup done at the MAC counter and maybe getting pedicures and definitely shopping. No I am not cooking a turkey and we are not celebrating American Thanksgiving so feel sorry for them when they get home. We have already had our Thanksgiving and I have more fun things to do than cook. Josh and Joel are going to go skiing. Yes the ski hills are open. We just got our first snow but it must be snowing in the mountains.

Racquetball is calling. Till next time. Love ya all

Update on Jenny

Joel gave up on the diet after losing in the first week but I worked very faithfully. Didn't cheat on the diet and on Sunday I would have sold one of my children for some candy. I played racquetball Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and volleyball on Thursday and ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Saturday, Joel, Brandon, Caroline, Loren and I played racquetball for 2 and half hours. Do you think I lost a lot of weight.....well no. I only lost 1 and half pounds. To put it mildly I was very disappointed. I fell off the wagon that night. I ate at Moxies and bought a bag of carmels. I thought I could just eat one but no I have no self discipline. I ate the whole bag. I am back on. So I hope I haven't killed my weight loss for this week.

We had 171 trick or treaters. We even had one trick or treater who came with a cigarette in his hand. Joel gave him candy. We all agreed that if you are old enough to smoke you are probably too old to trick or treat. Peggy, Bree put up the lights at my house that you gave me a few years ago. For everyones info, Halloween is my least favorite holiday so this is a miracle that I have halloween lights. Joel bought a fog machine but didn't know how to use it. I guess you have to buy fogging fluid to use in it. Just for your info people.

Eye update. I had my eye lasered on Tuesday and it is way better. The doctor did a way better job this time. So far so good.

I have blisters on my heels again. I might need some real running shoes.

Barrett met Gladys Knight. She gave a fireside in Vegas. Barrett got asked to say the prayer. There was like 2000 people there. He was nervous and started the prayer in spanish and then switched to English. He was embarrassed. Gladys got up and said you just got to love cute missionaries that say prayers in spanish and english. He got to go to her house and saw her fancy car. Still haven't gotten any letters from him. I keep telling him people want to hear but to no avail. The emails just aren't as good. I am trying. Guys have a great week. Till next time.

My very first post

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

My very first posting. It has taken my numerous times and lots of help from the computer geek also known as Brandon. I am experimenting. so I know what to do.

I started Jenny Craig again. Have lots of weight to lose. Joel and I had the contest to see who would lose the most weight. I won. I lost 7.8 pounds and he lost 7 pounds. Of course, Jenny has a digital scale and we have the old fashioned one at home. No matter I won. I have been giving the treadmill a workout and I am finally using my ipod that I got for my birthday last year with much help from Joel and Brandon. Brandon had to recharge it and that was an ordeal because then you have to find all the cords and stuff but it is charged. I need to get a armband because I keep hitting the cord on the ipod and knocking it to the ground. Not good for the ipod.

Eye news. I had an eye doctor appointment yesterday. I have more deposits on the back of the eye which they have laser twice. So I am getting lasered again and then if that doesn't work they will have to replace the lens which is where I started 2 years ago. I really do think that is what will happen. Hopefully, this surgery will go better.

I will try and add pictures next time.. Pictures of what I don't know. I want to restain my bathroom vanity doors so maybe that will get me motivated so I will have some show and tell.
