Update on Jenny

Joel gave up on the diet after losing in the first week but I worked very faithfully. Didn't cheat on the diet and on Sunday I would have sold one of my children for some candy. I played racquetball Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and volleyball on Thursday and ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Saturday, Joel, Brandon, Caroline, Loren and I played racquetball for 2 and half hours. Do you think I lost a lot of weight.....well no. I only lost 1 and half pounds. To put it mildly I was very disappointed. I fell off the wagon that night. I ate at Moxies and bought a bag of carmels. I thought I could just eat one but no I have no self discipline. I ate the whole bag. I am back on. So I hope I haven't killed my weight loss for this week.

We had 171 trick or treaters. We even had one trick or treater who came with a cigarette in his hand. Joel gave him candy. We all agreed that if you are old enough to smoke you are probably too old to trick or treat. Peggy, Bree put up the lights at my house that you gave me a few years ago. For everyones info, Halloween is my least favorite holiday so this is a miracle that I have halloween lights. Joel bought a fog machine but didn't know how to use it. I guess you have to buy fogging fluid to use in it. Just for your info people.

Eye update. I had my eye lasered on Tuesday and it is way better. The doctor did a way better job this time. So far so good.

I have blisters on my heels again. I might need some real running shoes.

Barrett met Gladys Knight. She gave a fireside in Vegas. Barrett got asked to say the prayer. There was like 2000 people there. He was nervous and started the prayer in spanish and then switched to English. He was embarrassed. Gladys got up and said you just got to love cute missionaries that say prayers in spanish and english. He got to go to her house and saw her fancy car. Still haven't gotten any letters from him. I keep telling him people want to hear but to no avail. The emails just aren't as good. I am trying. Guys have a great week. Till next time.

I love the Barrett story. That is great! I am sure he will remember that forever. I can't believe how many trick or treaters you got. I thought it was bad enough to buy for the ward trunk or treat but that sounds just as bad. Our boys got way to much candy and so of course I have been eaten lots of it. I just need to get it out of the house. Glad to hear your eye surgery went well. Good Luck with Jenny!
